Jen was eager to see the pelicans, but when they began to come close in great numbers she looked a bit doubtful.
At San Remo, near Phillip Island on Westernport Bay, in Victoria, pelicans are fed at lunchtime each day. Dozens of people wait for the birds to fly in, often braving winds that can chill to the bone despite the sunshine.
When the show is over, lots of visitors pile into the fish and chip shop, run by the people who feed the birds!
As feeding time gets closer, the bay is filled with birds. They swim nonchalantly, as though they're there for no particular reason.
We'd waited in the wind for quite a while and the birds had begun to arrive, but when Alex saw the camera he just had to clown about.
