Indian mynas—they're everywhere

Indian mynas—they're everywhere

Indian mynahs are our worst pest bird. They're always around, rather nasty and aggressive and jostling other birds away from bird baths or food. Supposedly insectiverous, they seem to do nicely on a diet of human leavings, so hang around anywhere where people are likely to drop food scraps.

A sort of starling, they also congregate on rubbish heaps, and give the general impression of being rather dirty creatures.
