Tall gum showing favourite nesting site

Nesting site

This very tall eucalypt grows in the nature strip behind our back fence. It sometimes drops large branches that break fences and flatten vegetables, and it isn't the world's most beautiful tree by a long stretch. Nevertheless, it's important and loved because it offers both a resting place and a nesting site to many different birds.

In this picture, the red arrow indicates the favourite nesting site.
