The holes in these leaves were not made by the praying mantis; praying mantises are strictly carnivorous. She'll no doubt eat up the creature that did chew the leaves though—unless it was a snail. Well, mabe she could cope with a snail, who knows? They seem to eat anything that moves, including, in the case of females, their mates.
