The Long Yarra Quilt In 2003 a group of hikers spent three weeks following the Yarra from Port Philip Bay to its source, walking at a leisurely pace and taking numerous photographs. Feeling deeply impressed by the beauty of the river, and realising what a profound influence it had had on uncounted generations, Kate Whitehouse conceived the idea of inviting people living along its banks to make quilt blocks depicting their own impressions. Apart from the size of each piece, no limitations were placed on the making of the blocks, and so submissions included embroidery, appliquè, oil painting, pastel—even a photograph reproduced on cloth. Subjects included native birds, trees, early morning fog, favourite camping places and snippets of local history. Some contributors included a short explanation of their work. The web site displays about forty individual pieces, with close-ups and notes.

This gives you the opportunity to say whether or not you want all of your search terms in the answer, or whether you don't want answers that include certain words. For instance, if you were looking for information on pet fish, you would probably want to exclude the words “cook” and “recipe”.

Help with Microsoft Word
The mvp (Most Valuable Professional) site has a huge number of tutorials and explanations that are much easier to follow than Word's own Help.
Each article has been written by someone with genuine expertise in the particular area and will print out beautifully. Some of the longer articles are available in free downloadable zip files.
Particularly useful articles include the one on Page Numbering, as many people find that Word messes up page numbering. This article shows how to completely ignore the built in—and often inaccurate—page numbering and get exactly what you want.
Another wonderful site for help with Word is mousetrax. Particularly important is the brilliantly clear and easy to follow article explaining why Word users really need to use proper paragraph styles from the very beginning and exactly how to go about it.
While you’re there, look around. The site is rich and varied. Among other things, free space is offered for pet pictures and pet memorials.
