If you have Acrobat and a fast connection, there's a pdf file, 17 pages (219KB). Because it has a table of contents, you can go quickly to any page, make sure it covers what you want, and then enter the page number in the printer dialogue box. If you choose to print the whole thing, the pdf gives the most consistent results. On dial-up, if you do load it, I'd save it.
Otherwise, there's a slightly more compact version, about 18 pages, and a version with fewer pictures, about 14 pages.
If you like, you can close this window and print straight from the tutorial, but please check the print preview first. There's a lot of white space and it runs to about 22 pages.
There are two ways in which you can print only the part you want from either of the compact versions or from the tutorial page itself.
On the actual page, (rather than in Print Preview) you can click at the beginning of the part you want, hold the shift key, scroll down and click at the end of the piece. This should highlight your selection. Then click the printer icon (or File > Print) and when your print dialogue box appears click Selection before you click OK.
Alternatively, you can go to Print Preview and make a note of the page numbers applied by your browser, then, after clicking Print, click Pages and enter the page numbers into the From and To places.
The size of the text in your print-out depends on the view size you have set in your browser. If you've chosen any of the settings below—depending on your browser— the printed text-size will be very big and you'll use more pages—and more ink!
Therefore, change to a smaller View size before you print.
If you have this View > Text Size > Largest View > Increase Font View > Increase Text Size View > Zoom > 200% | Change to this View > Text Size > Medium (or Smaller) View > Decrease Font View > Decrease Text Size View > Zoom > 90% (or less) |
